Vodacom implements WeDo Technologies’ Business Assurance solution

WeDo Technologies today announced that it has finished the implementation of its RAID 7 Revenue Assurance software in Vodacom, South Africa.

With this implementation, Vodacom will be able to improve its revenue assurance maturity by using the tool to monitor and audit the provisioning and network service usage business processes.

Vodacom will be able to take advantage of the pre-built reporting capabilities to provide at-a-glance views of the most relevant key performance indicators to the provisioning and service usage business processes.

In addition to this, the case management feature will also improve and accelerate case resolution by automatically ensuring that the appropriate business users across all levels and departments are alerted and involved at the beginning of every case, ensuring the best outcome for each scenario.

Belinda Jones, Managing Executive at Vodacom, said: “As Vodacom continues to expand and embrace new innovative services such as LTE, mobile money and machine to machine, our processes will become increasingly intricate. To address these ever-evolving challenges it is therefore important to follow these business areas from a revenue assurance perspective as they continue to grow in importance.

“As well as ensuring that all dimensions of business assurance are covered, WeDo Technologies’ solution will enable us to create a set of custom internal reports which visually link the company’s reporting demands with our business performance in our constantly changing operations environment. This will help us to better analyse and extract the value of our data, as well as help our senior management make more informed decisions that improve and protect the current and future performance of our business,” she concluded.

Formed in 1994, Vodacom is a pan-African mobile telecommunications company headquartered in South Africa. It serves more than 51 million subscribers across the continent in Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria and South Africa.
