The gaming industry has been saying for years that Direct Operator Billing is the most intuitive way to pay. It has the least number of clicks and the highest conversion rates – 10 times higher than other billing methods.

Now Skype agrees – in a move that is both slick and deeply ironic. You can put Skype credits on your phone bill in order to use Skype more, thus taking revenue away from the phone company. Hmmm – is that OTT or under the counter?

And just to add to the argument for DOB, a new study finds that it is definitely on the rise, very popular with returning customers and, well, excellent news for telcos.
