Four Year Extension, Upgrade, and Expansion to Enable Innovative On-Demand Services
NetCracker Technology announced today that RCN, a US-based provider of high speed Internet, digital TV, and telephone services, has signed a four year contract extension for NetCracker’s Business Support Systems (BSS) solutions and added NetCracker’s converged rating and billing solution to improve customer experience, reduce operational costs, and bring advanced new services to market.
“NetCracker is a proven partner we rely on for our BSS,” said Robert Roeder, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at RCN Telecom Services, LLC. “We plan to bring a variety of on-demand, and personalized offerings to our customers in both commercial and residential markets while also enhancing the configurability, scalability, and usability of our core BSS capabilities.”
NetCracker is the primary BSS solution provider for RCN, covering end-to-end customer and service management. With this extension and expansion of its relationship, RCN will utilize a wide range of NetCracker’s BSS capabilities including rating and billing. It will enable a variety of converged business models that can create personalized offerings, deliver flexible billing, and accelerate speed to market for new offerings. It will also enable customized packages for a demanding and fast-growing enterprise market.
