WeDo Technologies has announced that operator Etisalat Afghanistan is using WeDo Technologies’ RAID as a single, integrated platform for revenue assurance and fraud management (RA&FM). Having implemented WeDo Technologies RAID software in 2012, Etisalat Afghanistan has already recovered the total investment of the project within 12 months.
Etisalat Afghanistan is a wholly owned subsidiary of Etisalat Group which has over 140 million subscribers in 18 countries. Since being formed in 2007, its revenue growth has doubled year-on-year making it the fastest growing Telecoms company in the country. As a result, it needs to ensure that the appropriate measures are in place to control fraud and revenue assurance processes.
With an active subscriber base of over 3.8 million customers, Etisalat Afghanistan is now the third most popular operator in Afghanistan and has a presence in three provinces, 182 districts and in more than 12,000 retail outlets. Having selected WeDo Technologies’ integrated RA&FM solution in 2012, the company implemented the solution in four modules: service usage controls; platform integrity controls; fraud management services and prepaid balance validation controls. With the implementation now complete, all milestones and targets outlined at the beginning of the project have been achieved.
