ETIS – Billing and Revenue Management meeting

And so to Istanbul.

Apart from the two or three BIG events of the year, there is precious little that lures BillingViews into the fresh air. One, though, is the bi-annual gathering that ETIS hosts.

As far as Billing and Revenue Management meetings go it is virtually unique. This is because it is lead and hosted by operators and the discussions are about operators’ operational problems as well as what is about to be put in their ‘in-box.’ On the agenda this time are real stories of transformations, direct operator billing and case studies on specific operator billing strategies.

Last time we were persuaded that good, pro-active revenue assurance can be a key tool in enhancing customer service, the time before that we heard the quote of the decade – “we need to think like Internet companies, and we need to think in real-time.”

Both these insights came from operators. Both reports are worth a quick read before we start reporting on the issues and insights from this meeting.

And this one, from the time before.

A good reaction to a recent meeting – on real-time.
